My name is Pooja Shah, and I am the proud owner of a candle company called Lavica. I am originally from Mumbai, India, and moved to the USA in 2016 for my master’s and have worked in the tech industry for 5 years. The art of handicrafts is a skill passed down to me by both my mother and sister. Since I was a kid, I've observed my mother creating exquisite hand-embroidered handkerchiefs, which she would then present as gifts to our loved ones. Inspired by that, it was at the age of 16 that I began fashioning candles and crafting chocolates, using them as birthday presents for my friends. With lots of learnings in that space over the years, In May 2023 I started Lavica.At Lavica, we specialize in crafting all-natural, 100% vegan hand-poured candles, drawing inspiration from the enchanting scents of South Asia.
